Description

This course is designed to provide students with fundamental training and practical experience for researching, organizing, and delivering speeches in public situations. Topics include: audience analysis, speech anxiety, critical listening, and preparation and delivery of informative, persuasive, and other possible types of public speeches in various cultural context with emphasis on academic and scholarly research. Students will also learn to effectively incorporate audio and visual aids/technologies for effective speeches. SPC1017 meets the International/Intercultural competency requirement.
