Description

This course introduces students to the background of Shakespeare's life and work. Shakespeare's sonnets or narrative poems and plays are presented and the structure, content, and vision of Shakespearean histories, comedies, tragedies, and romances are studied. The course offers an opportunity to reinforce reading comprehension, critical thinking, and writing skills with regard to an iconic writer of western literature whose themes and characters have universal, contemporary relevance. ENL2330 is a writing credit course. Students must earn a minimum grade of C to meet the requirements of the Gordon Rule for writing. ENL2330 meets the International/Intercultural competency requirement.
