Description
Designed for the prospective educator, this course explores issues of diversity and the impact of culture, socioeconomic background, ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, exceptionality, and language on students' educational experiences. Students will be provided exposure to Florida Educator Accomplished Practices (FEAPs) and Florida Standards, including B.E.S.T. (Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking) standards. A minimum 15-hour field experience is required in an educational setting or virtual format.
