The Nurse Refresher program is designed for nurses returning to the acute care clinicial setting. Course includes both didactic and lab skills in a Self-directed Virtual Course format (Reading, knowledge check, skill review, Virtual patient immersive scenarios, critical reasoning simulations and final assessment). Students will explore current nursing practices and issues. Learn the most up to date standards of practice, review the body systems, management of common disorders, and more. The skill-based interactive immersive clincial scenario portion of this course utilizes fidelity simulations to enhanced clinical knowledge in a safe virtual enviornment. Designed for nurses who have been out of the workforce for up to five years or those in need of improve clinical experience. Students can tailor learning and obtain skills valued at hospital/healthcare facilities. Lifelike environment with virtual patients allow opportunities to sharpen skills in patient care, disease identification, while collaborating with doctors to carry out orders, request labs/imaging studies, among other interventions. Scenarios with virtual patients, build critical skills, clinical reasoning through debriefing and performance.
