Description

This a survey course of African American History which provides students with a general history of the pollical, economic, cultural, and social development of American society with a special emphasis on the African Americans contribution in those areas. ubjects include the early modern history of Africa, the emergence and evolution of the Atlantic Slave Trade, and the African American experience in the Western Hemisphere from the sixteenth century to the twenty-first century. AMH2091 is a writing credit course. Students must earn a minimum grade of C to meet requirements of the Gordon Rule for writing. AMH2091 meets the International/Intercultural competency requirement.
